Louis Buhl & Co. is thrilled to announce HATCH, the first-ever timed silkscreen print edition by Ukrainian-American artist Maya Hayuk, available to order exclusively for 48 hours, from 12 PM EST on Saturday, April 26th to 12 PM EST on Monday, April 28th, 2025. 

Known for her radiant abstractions and monumental murals, Hayuk brings her signature blend of intricate symmetry, vibrant palettes, and deep cosmic energy to this completely analog, hand-painted and hand-pulled edition. Rooted in both traditional Ukrainian craft and contemporary psychedelic visual culture, HATCH embodies Hayuk’s ongoing exploration of interconnectedness, expanding perception, and what she calls “perfect imperfection.” This release captures the artist’s distinctive language of visual harmony woven with dissonance—where outer space meets inner landscapes in a riot of pattern, color, and spiritual geometry.

Hayuk’s multidisciplinary practice—encompassing studio painting, murals, photography, and printmaking—is deeply interconnected, each informing the other in a generative, symbiotic relationship. Hayuk has been practicing printmaking for over twenty years and is intimately involved in the entire printmaking process. Collaborating directly with Master Printer, Sam Newbury at XPRESS, Hayuk hand-mixes each color and they pull the prints together - a deeply personal touch that sets this edition apart. HATCH represents the merging of Hayuk’s large-scale, improvisational murals with the delicate, deliberate craft of printmaking.
