Cranbrook STUDIO Sculpture Editions

STUDIO Editions

Louis Buhl & Co. is proud to announce a unique partnership with Cranbrook Academy of Art and several of its esteemed alumni to produce STUDIO Editions, a series of sculpture and print editions benefiting the Cranbrook community and its pursuits. A part of the 319-acre Cranbrook Educational Community designed by Eliel Saarinen (also the Academy’s first President), Cranbrook Academy of Art has a rich history in mid-century modernism. Still, its graduates continue to shape the world of art, architecture, and design today. At the center of the Academy is Cranbrook Art Museum, which offers a continuously shifting roster of exhibitions by contemporary artists and designers. At the forefront of cultural and creative innovation, the student artists at Cranbrook Academy of Art are influential leaders in communities worldwide.

For this project, we are pleased to offer a selection of three sculpture editions and five print editions, all works of alumni or past artists-in-residences from the Academy. Participating artists in STUDIO Editions include McArthur Binion, Beverly Fishman, Conrad Egyir, Cleon Peterson, Natalie Wadlington, Chris Schanck, Tiff Massey, and Tony Matelli. 100% of the proceeds from the eight editions will be split evenly between the aforementioned artists and the Cranbrook community. Respective proceeds towards the Cranbrook community will support scholarships benefiting the Cranbrook Academy of Art students and programming at the Cranbrook Art Museum. Additional details about each work are provided under the corresponding edition.

At Louis Buhl & Co., it is our goal to highlight artists and provide them with the resources necessary to grow their practice and explore new outlets with a demographic of accessibility. Collaborating with an incredible roster of artists, it’s with this meaningful project that we invite you to engage with the future of the art world and affect change.
